From Hell to Heaven
As a God-rebel seeking healthy answers, I take issue with hellish tales of sin, the afterlife, the devil and so on. All the views of all religions and their sects cannot be covered here, but hopefully the sharing here may shed a truer light on issues of concern.

Varied Teachings
Every Prophet brings new teachings and guidance* for their time. In this way religion evolves evolves and grows. But when new Prophets and their teachings are denied, religion’s growth is stunted. Because of this, the teachings of the newer faiths that are made for modern times have become obscured. It is vital to bring them out for the need of human healing. *More about this story here & here

Spirit’s Kindness
The Prophets are the proving ground for scripture as its founders. If any reading of those texts is found to be outside their ways of love and kindness, that reading must be questioned as a mistaken understanding or taken out of context. For example, in the days of Moses, the people were more primitive, and Moses treated them more as an infant needing sterner parents. Yet through all the teachings, taken in the proper context, there is an immensity of love.

Heaven and Hell as in Scripture
Truly very little has been written in the holy books on heaven, hell and the life that may be to come. Much of the church's ideas are conjecture, often added to and twisted to control and invoke fear. Beliefs vary with each faith, and there are students, sects and scholars of the Bible and other holy books who say there is no hell of fire in them at all. A kindly view of afterlife is found in writings of a later Prophet who explains in great detail:
“Just as in the womb we develop eyes and ears and hands to equip us for life in this world, so also our work on this Earth is to develop the qualities and virtues needed in the 'life hereafter.’ Those who are successful in this endeavor will experience to the full the riches of the next world.”* This is what we may call heaven. *
The “hell” of the next world is that some souls who pass on to that place are less developed or even stunted in their virtues. These will lack the qualities required for a full appreciation of their station and a full experience of closeness to God in that nether world.

The Human Soul-- “Noble Creation”
Original Sin is a misnomer of gargantuan proportions. *
Something sweeter in this vein, for those who choose it, may be found in teachings of the later Prophets, superseding older concepts. Moslems, for example believe that all people are born into a naturally pure and sin-free state. No one inherits original sin, nor is anyone held accountable for the sins of others. Later teachings include that humans are inherently noble.
As a human, I was made to be imperfect, but being told that I am “noble in creation…”* And that I am made "in Spirit’s image"* tells me that I may be “perfectly imperfect” exactly as I am.
The human soul is…“a mine rich in gems of inestimable value”. -- Baha’i

* Baha'i Faith-- above gleaned from Baha'i Teachings.
* "Noble creation" is quoted from Baha’i teachings.
“Made in God’s image” is from the Bible.
Many other Spiritual writings, including the Bible truly have no hell-fire, they also praise and uplift the human station and potential.
